Debate Shows Heather Stefanson is the Only Manitoba Leader Offering Vision, Hope for Future
Bigger paycheques, safer streets, and a growing economy the only path forward for Manitoba: Stefanson
WINNIPEG — In a provincial leaders’ debate today, hosted by CBC News, PC Leader Heather Stefanson once again proved that Manitoba PCs are the only path forward to a better, brighter future.
“It’s clear that the NDP have no plan to grow our economy or make Manitoba better,” said Stefanson. “Mr. Kinew might be able to point out problems, but he doesn’t have any solutions.”
Stefanson articulately laid out her vision for making Manitoba a more prosperous place to live by attracting new businesses and jobs, and lowering taxes so that Manitobans receive bigger paycheques. She also noted her government’s success in retaining, recruiting, and training Manitoba’s workforce—with new commitments to continue attracting people to the province.
“Governing isn’t easy, and difficult decisions need to be made in government,” said Stefanson. “The NDP showed today that they don’t have the ability to provide stability, promising over $3 billion in new spending. That can only result in increases to the PST.”
Stefanson thanked the debate organizers and her opponents for joining her on the debate stage.
The election will be held on October 3rd, 2023.
