I’m Shawn Nason, and I’m proud to introduce myself as your Progressive Conservative candidate for the upcoming Transcona byelection on March 18. Transcona has been my home for over 20 years. My wife, Jennifer, was born and raised here, and together, we’ve built a life in this incredible community, raising our two children, Sarah and Noah.

I’ve dedicated my career to serving Transcona. As your city councillor from 2018 to 2022, I fought for better infrastructure, safer streets, and responsible governance. Before that, I worked with provincial and federal leaders, including MP Lawrence Toet, to support policies that mattered to our community. More recently, I’ve been working for a local Transcona manufacturing business, bringing my experience in project management and IT to support local industry.

My commitment to Transcona goes beyond politics. I’ve been a dedicated volunteer, serving on boards like the Transcona Historical Museum, Rotary Club of Winnipeg East AM, Oxford Heights Community Club, and FC Northwest Soccer Club. I’ve also spent years coaching youth sports, from Transcona Nationals football to OHCC hockey and basketball.

This community has given so much to my family, and I’m ready to give back once again. I understand the challenges we face, whether it’s affordability, public safety, or making sure our families have good jobs and strong provincial services. I’ve always put Transcona first, and as your next MLA, I’ll keep working for what matters most to you.
